Today we are talking about Top Speed. Pure and simple, no muss, no fuss, top speed. That’s what we really want to know. How fast do the top 5 fastest cars in the world go? Let’s get into the details.
1. Koenigsegg Agera R – 1160 HP / Top Speed: 273 mph
2. Hennessey Venom GT – 1244 HP / Top Speed: 270.49 mph
3. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport – 1200 HP / Top Speed: 268 mph (Rev Limiter Off)
4. SSC Ultimate Aero – 1300 HP / Top Speed: 256 mph
5. McLaren F1 – 627 HP / Top Speed: 242.8 mph (Rev Limiter Off)
Last but certainly not least on the top five fastest car list is the McLaren F1. The F1 is one of my favorite cars. It’s everything the others are not. It’s a product of the 90’s and was the premiere supercar of its time. With a top speed of 242.8 mph, it was the top speed record holder in its day. Even today in 2015 it still has what it takes to stay in our top five fastest car list. It’s successor, the McLaren P1 can’t match the F1’s top speed.
